Dear RWC Partners,
Community Partners in Action (CPA) wishes all of you and your loved ones in good health during this challenging time. Despite the circumstances, our staff and participants remain resilient and we are doing our best to keep them updated as this situation changes daily. Since the opening of the Reentry Welcome Center, together we have served hundreds of individuals returning to the community. Now more than ever, we are very concerned about people returning home to their community with limited resources. Therefore, the Center remains committed to assisting individuals throughout this pandemic, while abiding by CDC Guidelines. In addition, we are in constant communication with the City of Hartford as well. In an effort to keep staff, participants and the community safe, CPA has moved to a limited staff schedule for all of our non-residential programs. We are still committed to helping those in need. The Reentry Welcome Center telephone number, 860-263-8476, will be answered. Reentry Welcome Center staff will triage calls remotely, by assessing people’s needs, providing support/guidance, making referrals and consulting with the Center’s team to provide basic need services. Two staff will be on-site at the Center two days a week to ensure individuals dropped off by CT DOC receive emergency basic needs assistance. As this crisis continues to unfold, we will keep our partners and community updated as to any changes. If you or your agency have additional resources or supports, they would be greatly appreciated during this challenging time.
