CT Reentry Collaborative
The CT Reentry Collaborative was made up of ten active reentry roundtables located in Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, Southeastern CT, Stamford, Torrington, Waterbury, and Windham. Each roundtable was comprised of state and local organizations working together to identify needs and address gaps in services for individuals returning home from incarceration.
The collaborative built relationships with organizations and agencies across Connecticut to foster successful reentry, eliminate barriers, reduce recidivism and increase public safety. Individuals with lived experience were encouraged to join the network and work alongside these providers to find real solutions. At the time it was active, the Collaborative was coordinated by Andrew Clark, Director of the Institute of Municipal & Regional Policy (IMRP), now based at the University of Connecticut.
Today, individual cities and municipalities offer reentry supports to local individuals returning to the community.
Annual Report – State of Reentry
The intended purpose of the state of Reentry Report is to bring public Awareness and attention to the high level of need for social services among individuals who are incarcerated and will soon be released to the community or are currently under community supervision in Connecticut. It is important to know the demographics and the extent of challenges they face in an effort to enhance local services and address gaps that will promote successful reintegration and reduce recidivism.
